Living History Museum

February 24th, 2016

4th grade students are working hard in preparation for their Living History Museum, next Friday, March 4th. Aligned to our Social Studies, Writing, and Reading standards, they each have been researching a famous American, including many Nevadans, and are creating a performance, a visual, and a technology presentation for the Museum.

Ms. Petrelli has been working with students on their oral presentations and performance skills, as each will be dressed up as their character and will portray them at “the push of a button”. Mr. Joseph and Mr. Euken have been helping the students create a Keynote or PowerPoint or Slides presentation on the iPads, which will be running as part of the displays. Ms. Mallon has been guiding the students in their creation of their trifold board displays, as evidenced by the photos here. All these will come together next Friday in what has become a highlight of the 4th grade experience here at Henderson International School.

All HIS families and guests are invited to come view our 4th graders’ efforts. Our Museum will be open from 10:00am – 11:00am, then again from 1:30pm – 2:30pm, in the Gymnasium. We hope you will join us.

Mr. John Heffron, Lower School Principal
